Hip Hop Legend Afrika Bambaataa Accused of Molestation
Hip Hop Legend Afrika Bambaataa is being accused of molesting a teenage boy nearly 40 years ago.
Former New York State Democratic Committee member Ronald Savage says Bambaataa molested him when he was about 13 years old, according to a Hot New Hip Hop report.
The judicial delegate of the 12th Judicial District in the Bronx reveals that he wrote about the incident in his book, “Impulses, Urges and Fantasies.” He identified the Zulu Nation star as “DJ Battle” where he talks about a time where he was forced to perform oral sex on the DJ.
If the alleged accusations are proven to be true, it is past the statute of limitation, therefore no criminal charges can be filed.
During an interview with Shot97.com, Savage says he never talked about the situation because he was unaware that he was being molested at the time. He also added that he did not talk about it sooner because men usually don’t talk about being sexually abused.
“It took me this long to actually get this out and to be able to really talk about it,” Savage said. “I wanted to be down with the in crowd, not really understanding what Bambaataa was doing to me was actually molesting me.”
The Hip Hop legend would have been 21 years old at the time of the alleged incident.
This better not be an April Fool’s joke!
And it better not be a stunt to sell that book because there are used copies starting at $470 on Amazon. You ever heard of a memoir costing the same price as a Science textbook? Holly Madison ain’t even charge that much for airing all of Hugh Hefner’s dirty laundry.
